A written estimate is provided before planned admissions; emergency admissions are stabilised first and costs explained to family promptly.

Money matters

Billing, insurance & your privacy

  • HMO & insurance: we verify eligibility before treatment and tell you upfront about anything not covered. How it works →
  • Self-pay: clear price lists at the front desk and written estimates for planned care. We accept cash, transfers and cards.
  • No surprise bills: if treatment needs change mid-course, we explain and agree new costs before proceeding (emergencies excepted).
  • Your records are yours: clinical information is shared only with your consent, except where the law requires otherwise.

Cost estimate needed? Email care@ckchealth.org describing the service (or attach a referral letter) and our billing desk will respond with a written estimate.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes — emergency department, admissions, laboratory and pharmacy all run 24/7, every day of the year including public holidays.

Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

Walk-ins are welcome any time, especially for emergencies. For specialist clinics, booking ahead shortens your wait — call 0700 061 1030 or request online.

What should I bring to my first visit?

A valid ID, your HMO enrollee card if insured, any previous records/results/scans related to your complaint, and a list of your current medications. See the full checklist above.

Do you accept health insurance and HMOs?

Yes. We work with major HMOs and private insurers. Our billing desk verifies eligibility before treatment and always tells you upfront if anything falls outside your cover. Details on our HMO page.

What are the visiting hours for admitted patients?

General visiting is 4–6 pm daily. One support person may stay beyond those hours by arrangement with the ward nurse. Maternity and high-dependency areas have special guidelines — see the table above.

Can I get results without returning to the hospital?

Many routine lab results are same-day and can be discussed by phone with your doctor. Imaging reports are typically ready within 24–48 hours. Physical collection is required for some documents.

How do I make a complaint or give feedback?

Speak to any staff member, use the suggestion box at reception, email care@ckchealth.org, or use our contact form. Every complaint is logged and receives a formal response — accountability is part of care.

Still have questions?

Our nurses answer the phone 24 hours a day. No question about your health is too small.
